Greg Theakston has been a professional illustrator since 1972 and has produced hundreds of pieces of art for various clients including the NEW YORK TIMES, NATIONAL LAMPOON, ROLLING STONE, Miramax Film, TV GUIDE, PLAYBOY, ABC-TV, as well as numerous well-known paperback publishers. He has also produced art for most of the major comic publishers including Marvel, DC Comics, Warren, Caliber, Deluxe, Personality, and Kitchen Sink. He was a regular contributor to MAD MAGAZINE for a decade.
In 1974, Greg founded Pure Imagination Publishing and has produced dozens of magazines and books documenting popular culture, including the TREASURY Series, PURE IMAGES (Eisner Award Nominated), BURIED TREASURE, and THE BETTY PAGES.
