(b. 01/12/1946, France)After doing some illustration work, Serge le Tendre was pushed by Jean-Claude Mézières to concentrate solely on writing scenarios. From 1974 to 1982, he wrote several short stories for Pilote, with artists Dominique Hé, Annie Goetzinger and Michel Rouge. In 1975, he started his series 'La Quête de l'Oiseau du Temps' with Loisel. From 1977, Le Tendre intensified his work, with scenarios for numerous magazines like Fluide Glacial, Métal Hurlant, Hop! and Circus. In 1982, he helped Makyo on writing the first two episodes of 'Jerôme K. Jerôme Bloche' for Alain Dodier. After some appearances in Frilouz, Chic and Astrapi, Le Tendre teamed up with Christian Rossi and created 'Les Errances de Julius Antoine'. While still writing for some small comic magazines, he created the 'Les Voyages de Takuan' series with the Italian artist Emiliano Simeoni. After only one episode, the artwork was taken over by TaDuc, an artist with whom he started another series in the 1990s, 'Chinaman'.
