Magnus instead was is spiritual teacher; then Andrea Pazienza, Tanino Liberatore, Filippo Scozzari, Silvio Cadelo.
Camič's style is full of references of these great artists and, as to the graphic, is suggested by the French-Belgian Ligne Claire.
He is attracted by the colour expression, by the ancient and contemporary painting, too.
Camič is more illustrator then strictly comics-maker, never academical, inclined to the grotesque, to the erotic, to the Disney style, to the surreal.
Sometimes he is synthetical, sometimes he is analytical, Camič expresses
A like-sensorial realism, not only visual; a reality seen from inside who gives
more level of reading.
The Comic, with images and words, is not a target, but is a way, closer to figurative arts, than the movie, where different languages from different places come together and tell human experiences without too much hypocrisyes.
The Art is a mix of styles and genres, a fusion, sometimes disharmonic,
Is a union, a promiscuity, is a total opening, all do always with great respect of rules and passion.
It is free, never ordered and for all people, and it is not only a wonderful
handcraft.
It is a game who brings eternally into action. |
